I have several of David Busch's books and I continue to refer to them for tips and operational help. I recently purchased the Sony A7R iii and as usual, the so-called help guides provided with the camera were not very helpful for advanced issues or basic issues. It is very easy to read and he explains issues and recommends settings and why they are recommended. I had several advanced issues I could not solve, so I sent David an email. I received a reply and an answer to my issues within a few hours. Really appreciated the rapid reply and his interest to fully reading my question and understanding my issues before sending a reply. I do hope he will update the book when new issues develop that need explanation.
When I bought the revolutionary Sony a7RII David Busch's guide helped me get through all the new features. Recently, I bought the updated model of the Sony game changing camera and the first accessory I purchased was David Busch's guide on the III model. It is clearly written, comprehensive, richly illustrated and very slick. I have other guides but this one is the go to one because of its easy organized and referential style. It's everything you might want in a guidebook.
Excellent resource for the Sony Alpha a 7R III camera. Content includes but not limited to learning how to set up a menu, what settings are available, flash techniques and how to trouble shoot. There is a learning curve for beginners to begin efficient using this camera and this book can help you on your journey.
this book contains everything would want to know that is not present in any of the enclosures that came with your camera. The chapters are well laid out. Some of the chapter topics require several readings to understand more completely as the choices of autofocus related modes and modifications for still photos and video with this camera are incredibly complicated (the autofocus system is one of the great strengths of this model)
I have been buying product specific camera books since they started printing them, and that was a very long time ago! Bar none David Busch's book on the Sony Alpha a7RIII is by far the best book of this category of writing I have ever had. The book is a MUST for the Sony camera. You basically get nothing with the camera that's worth anything (and have your Macro Lens out to read it, shame on Sony. Sony wants you to use their online HTML web based manual. It is 600 pages plus of where in the heck is that. David's book is EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This book is an excellent way to quickly become proficient in the operation of a complex camera and become a better photographer.
This book gives the same information as the manufacturers version but it is far more organized which makes it easier to find what you are looking for. I have had another book by the author and many area of instruction are just a cut and paste from previous guides. In view of this camera's complexity, I found that the organization made understanding the equipment much easier and faster. It is not a must but you won't regret having it.
This manual needs a big bold index. then sub index for more involved steps. I find it very hard to find what I'm looking for. I guess I'm spoiled by the Scott Kilby books, how to, books.
