Solid book that served me well.A few notes:-The Museum of Image and Sounds in Copacabana is not yet open as of April 2017; however, the book says it is open and recommends going.-Seems to be missing information on key day trips, like to Petropolis, and lacks information on other nearby attractions like Paraty, Ilha Grande, and Buzios. If you plan on going to these destinations while in Rio, I would recommend getting a more general book on Brazil.-As of July 2016 (post-publication), the subway line 4 to Jardim Oceanico is open.
Really out of date as far as safety. Was there to visit friends who live there and were told over and over "That isn't safe" "That is closed due to muggings" "A tourist couple was murdered there".
